I'm primarily interested in the teaching of programming and learning processes behind effective instruction. I'm comfortable developing and delivering material in academic and corporate contexts, to young and less young learners alike. My most novel and enjoyable instructional work involved introducing non-programmers to languages like Scheme and Java through the use of small robots made out of LEGO. Really, genuinely fun stuff!

I also have this thing for writing compilers, because I just love digging deep into the world of programming languages. If you want to see more about my interests I maintain a personal weblog. Take a look and see what kinds of things you find there.
